– 1 box vanilla cake mix – 1/2 cup milk – 1/2 cup butter, melted – 3 eggs – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 2 cups heavy cream – 1/4 cup powdered sugar – 1 lb fresh strawberries, sliced – 1/2 cup strawberry jam
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes, then pour batter evenly into prepared pans.
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
To assemble, spread one layer with jam, top with whipped cream, and sliced strawberries. Add second cake layer, cover with cream, and more strawberries.
