Mini Egg Chocolate Nest Cookies

Ingredients:

– 200g milk chocolate – 100g shredded wheat cereal – 100g mini eggs – 50g butter – 2 tbsp golden syrup – 1 tsp vanilla extract – Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Melt the chocolate, butter, and golden syrup in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until smooth and glossy. Stir gently until well blended.

Remove the bowl from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt for flavor balance. Allow the mixture to cool slightly before adding cereal.

Crush shredded wheat slightly and fold into the chocolate mixture until fully coated. Make sure every strand gets covered evenly for perfect texture.

Spoon the mixture onto a lined baking tray into small nest-shaped mounds. Use the back of the spoon to press the center down gently.

Place 2-3 mini eggs into the center of each nest. Press them lightly so they stick while the chocolate is still soft and slightly warm.

Chill the tray in the refrigerator for about 1 hour or until the nests are fully set and firm. This helps the cookies hold their nest-like shape.
