Easy Stovetop Barbecue Pulled Chicken

Ingredients 

– 1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts – 1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade) – ½ cup chicken broth or water – 1 tablespoon olive oil – 1 teaspoon garlic powder – ½ teaspoon smoked paprika – Salt and pepper to taste – Buns or sandwich rolls (optional for serving)

Pat chicken dry and season both sides with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper for balanced flavor.

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken 2–3 minutes per side until lightly browned.

Add BBQ sauce and broth. Cover and simmer for 15–20 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Shred chicken using two forks, return to skillet, and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes to absorb the sauce.

Serve hot on buns, in wraps, or over rice. A simple and satisfying dish perfect for lunch, dinner, or parties.
